16th Game: vs Titans

This game we had six players again, and we started really well by getting the first score on the board. It took a minute or so before that happened as we lost the tip. We managed to keep the score close for the first 10 minutes, but then they went on a bit of a run and towards the end of the first half stretched the lead to 20. At half time we were down 10 to 31. Tim had 2 and James both made a 2ptr, Dave made two 2pts and Simbo made two free throws. It looked like it was all over and to a certain extent it was, but we didn’t completely give up on it. The second half we came out with a stronger defensive strategy and we managed to claw back some points after they stretched the lead into the higher 20s. Dave, Harbs and Simbo each made a 2ptr, Simbo also made 1 free throw and James hit two 3ptrs in a row and the another two 2ptrs. By the end of the game we had levelled the score for the second half with a final score of 29 to 50.

It was a good defensive effort by most of our team, and better than the previous time we played them. The margin was about half this time.

I had four fouls with about 4 minutes left of the game and I wanted to make the fifth one really count but never ended up getting it. If only the other team didn’t think so highly of themselves.
